We hear four of the “Nine Greek Dances, for the Lyceum Club of Greek Women” by Nikos Skalkottas, lesser known and adventurous than his 36 ones, but pretty enjoyable. The Athens Philharmonia Orchestra is conducted by Byron Fidetzis.
For an excellent reading of 7 of Skalkotta’s 36 Greek Dances [Nikos Christodoulou, Malmo Symphony] listen here.
