Αυτό χάρη στην “ποπ” πλευρά του (‘I Thought It Was You’, ‘Rockit’, ηχογραφήσεις με Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon κλπ.), κερασάκι σε μια καριέρα γεμάτη κλασικά άλμπουμ και ιστορικές συνεργασίες – ξεκινώντας από το Second Great Quintet (1964-68) του Miles Davis. Ακούμε το ‘One Finger Snap’ από το σημαντικότερο, ίσως, άλμπουμ του για την Blue Note, Empyrean Isles.

Among the most interesting cases in the April born musicians club, pianist and composer Herbie Hancock is one of jazz’s few widely recognizable musicians, thanks to his “pop” side (‘I Thought It Was You’ ‘Rockit’, recordings with Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon etc.). The icing on a career full of classic albums and historical collaborations, starting with Miles Davis’ Second Great Quintet (1964-68). We hear ‘One Finger Snap’ from his most important, maybe, album for Blue Note, Empyrean Isles.
