Το άλμπουμ Alter Ego αποτελεί μια πρώτη απόκλιση του Yaron Herman. από την φόρμα του πιάνο τρίο, καθώς ο ήχος εμπλουτίζεται με τενόρο και άλτο σαξόφωνο. Η μελαγχολική τρυφερότητα με την οποία αποδίδεται εδώ ο ισραηλινός εθνικός ύμνος, είναι μια διακήρυξη φιλοπατρίας από τον jazz πιανίστα-συνθέτη. The album Alter Ego is Yaron Herman’s first departure from the form of the piano trio, as the sound is enriched with tenor and alto saxophone. The melancholy tenderness with which the Israeli national anthem is treated here is a proclamation of patriotism by the pianist-composer. The band: Emile Parisien – tenor, soprano, Logan Richardson – alto saxophone, Stephane Kerecki – bass, Ziv Ravitz – drums.
