Ο Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) είναι ο επιφανέστερος των γεννημένων Ιούνιο συνθετών. Θα ακούσουμε αρκετή μουσική του, ξεκινώντας από τη σουίτα για πιάνο, κλαρινέτο και βιολί “Η Ιστορία του Στρατιώτη”, βασισμένη στη σύμπτυξη από τον ίδιο του θεατρικού έργου που έγραψε με τον συγγραφέα C. F. Ramuz – η αλληγορική ιστορία μιλά για ένα στρατιώτη που πουλά το βιολί του στον Διάβολο με αντάλλαγμα απεριόριστη ευημερία.

Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) is prominent among the composers born this month. We’ll hear plenty of his music, starting with he suite for piano, clarinet and violin “The Soldier’s Tale” based on his own collapse of the theatrical play he co-wrote with the author C. F. Ramuz – the original story, an allegory, is about a soldier who sells his violin to the Devil in exchange for unlimited prosperity.
