Ο βιρτουόζος του πιάνου Marc-André Hamelin παίζει ένα από τα σημαντικότερα ρομαντικά έργα που γράφτηκαν από Γάλλο συνθέτη : Σονάτα για πιάνο σε Μι ύφεση ελάσσονα του όχι ιδιαίτερα παραγωγικού αλλά λίαν αξιόλογου Paul Dukas (1865—1935). Στους λόγους που το έργο εκτελείται σπάνια περιλαμβάνονται η διάρκεια και οι τεχνικές του δυσκολίες.

Piano virtuoso Marc-André Hamelin plays one of the most important romantic works written by a French composer : Piano Sonata in E-flat minor, by not especially prolific yet very remarkable Paul Dukas (1865—1935). Among the reasons that the work’s rarely performed are its length and technical difficulties.
We hear its third part: Vivement, avec légèreté.
