Poppies, olive trees & a return

After a long radio silence, I’m back with cloudy sunrises, olive trees, poppies, and a magpie thief.

My blog’s got a new rhythm too. An updated Home, a shelter for my art at My Art Journey, Visuals for design glimpses, Fine Tuning for our music, and Art & Echoes for tributes, reblogs, friends, and Life in Frames. Back to blogging, and I hope you’ll walk with me!

the supervisor with a rainbow heart!

Happy Tuesday, everyone

and a belated Happy April too!

  1. Hooray, hooray, hooray!! The Goddess of Art, Music, and All Things Beautiful has returned!!– and her many fans rejoice!!– especially me!!

So good to see you back up and running here, dear Marina!! I seem to remember you and Oannes were moving to a new house (??). Hope everything worked out well– you were probably ready for a break!!

Thanks for checking in at my end– it was so good to hear from you!! Yes, mean ol’ WordPress seems to have discontinued the usual notifications at some point. I clicked Follow in a hurry here, so hopefully we’re reconnected!!

Wonderful to know you’re here and still bringing joy to all, as is your custom! Excuse me now while I give into my emotions!!! 🚀🌖🪐☄️🌔💥🚑👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨😋💦💥😅🥰

    • Hooray, hooray indeed! Hooray for seeing you here, my kind friend! We are finally settling in after a very long and strenuous [and then some] move. We’re already 8 months in our new home and starting to notice the beauty outside!
Wordpress has been too eager on ‘updates’ so much so we’re losing touch with each other!
I’m so glad I rediscovered you!
      Zeus is particularly happy too!
      Guess what he’s sending:

  2. Hi Marina, I searched you and found this post, but I didn’t get a notification. I was just thinking about you. WP has been snarky lately. Anyway, I was thinking about you, so I’m happy to see you post again as you have been missed. And your photos are stunning as ever! Hera is beautiful too, and we miss Copper so much. It’s so good to see you, my friend. Sending hugs! xoxoxo

    • It seems that WP ‘exiles’ people who are offline for some time, what can I say! With the house, relocation and new garden I’ve been on and off and sometimes even thought of retiring from wp, at least for some time. Instead I decided to renew my look and return. I miss my friends and love sharing stuff from my little corner of the world. I miss Copper too and I’m still expecting to hear his stories and see his sweet eyes. That little rainbow in Hera’s heart reminds me how close all our pups that crossed it really are. Sending many many hugs and love …and multiplied tail wags from Hera. xoxoxoxoxo

      • It happens, and I’m so glad you didn’t retire from WP! I know you’ve been busy with a lot, but it’s great to have you back, and the new look is wonderful! I’d love to do the same thing, but I haven’t had the time. Thanks for your comforting words about Copper, and give Hera a big hug for me. Lots of love and hugs back to you! xoxoxoxoxoxo

        • I have no idea how I decided to make that change! If I knew the work beforehand, I might have chickened out! 🤣😂 I’m very happy you like it! Hera sends love and tail wags. More hugs and love to you! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  3. I think England must have stolen all of your blue skies and sunshine Marina…. Love your poppies, And we have an olive tree growing in a tub, we take it into the green house to over winter, it must be perhaps 9 or ten years old maybe older we got it when it was around One ft high.. ,,, It has produced a few olives too, though they have never ripened enough to eat … 🙂 Those olive trees look magnificent xx Sending LOVE your way … ❤ xx

    • Our blue skies and sunshine were indeed stolen! We even have cold a couple of days now! Olive trees are wonderful. The only one I had in a pot from our previous apartment, I planted during the summer and I was surprised to see it full of olives a few months later. The other ones [I think they are about 30+ years old] produced very few [most of them stolen by magpies!] but now we pruned them I’m hoping we’ll have more for us too! I don’t think it needs a greenhouse. They are pretty resilient. Most of my days now are occupied by weeding. Good grief those things pop up everywhere!!!! Whenever I go out I start by uprooting a couple and three hours later I realize I just finished a few meters! 😱 But you know all about that!

Sending more love and hugs! xoxoxoxoxoxo

      • I am glad your Olive tree took to its transplanting place… I said to hubby I think Olive trees can withstand cold… The pot it is now in takes some moving, So this coming winter we may well be testing our cold winter and its survival skills.. ..

Laughing at the weeding … 🙂 Yes its a constant battle… I was on our plot this morning two hours hoeing up weeds… 🙂 xx ❤ Laughing 🙂 Yes I know all about that! hahaha…..
I am just finishing up a garden blog post 🙂 at Dreamwalker’s Garden Blog 🙂 xx It is Hard work Marina, but satisfying 🙂 💚💚💚

  4. Dear Marina, it is so good to meet you again, here on WP. You have been missed and what gorgeous red poppies you colour this post with! And a bonus photo of Hera! Looking forward to meeting you here this summer and renewing our friendship online! 🤗💐😘

  5. What a beautiful post, Marina. I love the poppy paintings. Cute little B&W thief. The rainbow-hearted supervisor is adorable.

    • Hi, Frank! and I’m double happy for that smile! 😉 It was indeed worth the wait. All is well [within the realm of reality]. Hope all is well with you too!
      Yamas!
