Οι Monochrome Set ήταν από τα πιο αγαπητά μου βρετανικά γκρουπ των ’80s. Για την ακρίβεια, ένα από τα ελάχιστα – ένα άλλο ήταν οι επηρεασμένοι από αυτούς Smiths.
Ο τραγουδιστής και βασικός songwriter του γκρουπ, Bid, είναι Ινδικής καταγωγής – αληθινό όνομα Ganesh Seshadri. Τον θυμήθηκα αυτές τις μέρες, με τους συνειρμούς να οδηγούν στην κατεύθυνση της “Υποηπείρου”.

The Monochrome Set were one of my favorite British bands of the ’80s. In fact, they were one of the few I really liked—another being The Smiths, who were influenced by them.
The band’s singer and main songwriter, Bid, is of Indian descent—his real name is Ganesh Seshadri. I remember him recently, with my thoughts drifting toward the “Subcontinent.”
We hear a track from their early ’80s album, Love Zombies.
