Back at home base!
Our visit to the sea is over.
However I made sure I kept images for future artistic exploitation -from which, my friends, there is no escape! 😉
For now, here’s a little photo patchwork of our whereabouts.

• A note to photographers: The shots were taken with a little Casio camera [exilim] and my mobile phone and, hey, I’m not a pro!
• A note to all my friends: Please be patient as planning and scheduling will have to take place in the next few days.
As always, you can visit my shop for art prints, framed or on canvas at Imagekind or alternatively • my art prints, framed or on canvas or printed on iphone cases, laptop skins, cards, t-shirts & hoodies, tote bags and pillows, at Society6

Hi Roberta! Thank you for your kind words.
🙂
I have already!!! 🙂
…marina..the very first pic reminds me of my first and only trip to greece..way back in 1986, to crete….we drove down to the southern side of the island, away from the tourist hordes, for a glimpmse of the real greece..there, we parked the car, and walked to the beach, just 50 ft away..warm sand, cool, crystal clear water and little fish swimming around…a glimmer of peace in this troubled world…
That’s a beautiful memory… Truly a “glimmer of peace in this troubled world” and strangely, after all this country has been through, it hasn’t saturated the environment. It is still like that, even in the mainland where these photos were taken [one hour from Athens!]
btw by 1st pic, do you mean the featured one on top? [the others are at random and change with every page refresh]
yes, the one showing the gravel and sea…
Congratulations I have nominated you for the Light House Award. Go to my blog at http://donkeywhispererfarm2010.wordpress.com/2014/01/11/light-house-award-a-blog-that-brings-light-to-a-dark-world/ to pick up your award. Melody
That is so kind of you, my dear Melody! Thank you!!!!
I hope you are doing well! 🙂
Hi,Marina. would like to let you know that you’ve been blessed with an award. here’s the link http://kintal.wordpress.com/2013/11/11/stay-blessed/ you are a blessing to many, please continue being such 🙂
That is so kind of you, Marlyn! I am honored! 🙂 Congratulations to you too, my dear! 🙂
Awww love the pics! A small shot of summer is just what i needed! 🙂
I know, that was exactly the purpose of taking them! On the 4 day vacation (not complaining, others had none at all) I felt like clicking away to absorb as much as possible for the winter days! Glad you enjoyed them, Ioanna!! 🙂
Wow!! What fantastic photos! Nature can’t compete with your paintings, of course, that goes without saying… : )
Love the first one of the rocks in the water. I keep a lot of rocks in my bathtub. That way, when I take a bath, it’s like being on holiday. Of course, I wind up with more sand between my toes after my bath than before I went in, but it’s important for these experiences to be as authentic as possible… : )
Yes, the “dog shot” is a true classic. I can almost hear him thinking, “Wow!! That’s the biggest water dish I’ve ever seen!!”
Glad you had a nice break, my dear Marina!! : )
It already seems like a long long time ago!!
Oh, Mark, you are going to get mother nature cross with me and she’ll come banging on my head out of envy!!! 😆
Thank you, my friend. It is a beautiful place.
As for the dog, I’m afraid I’ll disappoint you. She is thinking ” oh, please please, don’t let her pull me in the water, it will eat me alive!!!!!” Goes to show, things aren’t always what they seem!! 😆
Aaah! What a blissful contrast to our hectic adventure!! Thank you for sharing these gorgeous, gorgeous images Marina.
After more than a year of non stop work, the 4 days had to be in a peaceful place! I’m glad you like them, Madhu. 🙂
Waoooo, it has been refreshing holiday ! Such a beautiful place , Marina ❤️
xxxxx
It was really nice. Thank you, my dear Violet! 🙂 xxxx
Marina, I love your pictures, I love all things around water and what you shared here is beautiful! I have been having problems with my computer and I have not been at home for 4 weeks, but I did manage today to also listen to your music…I really like it, you guys are really good…when i get situated I will be grabbing a hold of your albums. Thanks for always brightening my day with your visits! You always bring me to smile! Have a wonderful day!
Wendell, it is always my pleasure reading your poems. They invariably manage “to bring into lives the taste a true bliss that is ours for the taking”! Thank you for your kind comment and thank you for listening to our music!
You too have a wonderful day and a wonderful new month! 🙂
Marina, I just love the shot of the dog looking out at the water! Love the composition!
Ah, thank you, Cindy. I’m very glad you like it. She also had this romantic look in her eyes which inspired the shot [even if it’s not visible!]. Happy October! 🙂
Wow, those are gorgeous photos, Marina!! What a beautiful place to visit and rejuvenate. I’m so glad you were able to take a break. We all need that.
Here, I see images for your future art inspirations. 🙂
I agree, it’s a beautiful place and although very near Athens (just over an hour), we don’t visit as often as we used to. I’m surprised we even got to go for 4 days and as you say, breaks are so important!
Already done some work…
🙂
It’s difficult to pick one image as they all whisper a peaceful tranquility.
Amazing blue hues …..
Ah, “peaceful tranquility” it was indeed! I’m glad you like it! 🙂
I wish we had taken more photos of the seas on our last vacation. The colors were amazing. I like your photos. The top one is gorgeous, and the one with the dog…precious. I’m glad you had a refreshing time away!
Thank you very much, Lori. I’m glad you like them especially the precious ears one! I’m sure you will find a way to depict those colors in your poems! 🙂
plenty of material there for your paintings, marina!
and no need to be sorry about the camera you used….as i said in one of my posts this week…the best camera in the world….is the one youre carrying right now….its not the camera that maks the photo…its YOU!
What a compliment coming from you!!!! BUT… I do know my limitations! Anyway, they were taken as reminders and as such they work for me! Happy Thursday evening, my friend! 🙂
😉
hallo Marina,
you made me smile: looking through the dog’s ears to the sea!
…and thanks for your statement about rich & poor:
I’ve featured your words again at

Hi, Frizz!
And you have made me smile with your kind comment.
I’m sure you’re familiar with this point of view, with your cat!! 🙂
Oh, I love these! Gorgeous photos, Marina!!! Who said you’re not a pro?! 🙂 I can’t wait to see your future paintings. 🙂 ~xxxxxxx
You are too kind, my dear!!! It’s the place really… What’s beautiful is how the sea changes color depending on the clouds…
🙂 xxxxx
Amazingly awesome Clicks… 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Thanks for the post, Marina. Is this the Black Sea?
Thank you, Jo. It’s a little village in central Greece.

Nah, i like it when people do the same for me so the pleasure was all mine 🙂
Stunning pictures!
Thank you, Jess! 🙂
a little late as is my wont however, welcome back from a sea kissed corner of tranquility and now – with sun sparkled waves still in your eyes – on with the dance…
Still there in a way… but, yes, on with the dance!
Thank you, John! 🙂

Serenity can shout! I’ve always been awed at the way these elements bait us to look within ~ Glorious photographs dear. Faithfully Debbie
They do, don’t they! Thank you, Debbie! 🙂 xx
I’ve no doubt that these scenes will spur your creativity and now we wait . . . you will show us when a soul is refreshed just how incredible the result will be. I love these photographs – beautiful.
True! However a little disclaimer: my previous inspirations from this place were the “Atom” series! The closest to a landscape you’ll get from me is those photos!! 😆
Have a wonderful creative Thursday, my friend!
🙂 xxx
Beautiful blue waters sure must’ve been a refreshing break.
Best regards dear Marina.
Yes it was my dear Dilip. Thank you very much and thank you for the welcoming back!
🙂
Gorgeous gallery, Marina. Welcome back.I’m sure your vacation and the photos you have will provide much inspiration for your designs. 🙂
Ah, thank you, Sylvia. It has provided inspiration in the past [all my Atom Flowers and Atom Sea series were inspired from the same place]. I have already done quite some work there. Working in the fresh air is so much different than in the busy city…
Happy Thursday, my dear! 🙂
Nice location !
I want to go^^
It is…
Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Wonderful. I love the sea and would happily swim all day in the beautiful clear water. What makes the sea so alluring?
Answer: the sea!
I agree with you to the point of growing scales! 🙂
Too bad it was a short break…
Ah, well, there’s always visualization!!!
Very nice pics 🙂
Thank you, Swati! 🙂
Wow, this has been a refreshing trip my dear! Nice photos. Abrazote, Rosa
Thank you my dear Rosa. It was nice and refreshing.

The dog photo is wonderful Marina!
Not just any dog! 😆 !!
Thank you, Jim. I’ll tell her you said so! 🙂
How would Bruce Lee’s dog bark?
Weeeeeeeeef weeeeeeeeeeeeeef!!!!!
His name would be Lolling Tongue
😆
Wow, your vacation looked like a wonderful time. Beautiful scenery and gorgeous images. I like the photo over the dog’s head. Looks like the dog enjoys the view too.
Yes she does, just like her human companion [moi]!
That’s my favorite photo too.
Thank you, Donna. It was quiet, relaxing and simple.
Happy Thursday! 🙂 xx
Oh what beautiful images! Not so long ago, I dreamt I was in Greece, or in my dream I felt I was there, you know the typical Greek image we have been made to believe: a completely white home with panoramic views of the perfect blue sea and silence… aaaahhhh!!! thanks for the mental vacation my dear friend, lovely to hear you got your well deserved rest and relaxation and so did your pooch 🙂 can’t leave home without them! welcome back, Alexandra
Hi Marina, not blogging but I am visiting some! 🙂 Wonderful, wonderful photos. Actually being there, surrounded by all that beauty had to be great. I can almost feel the breeze. Wouldn’t it be nice to laze away there for, oh say a month or two. Ah, the paintings that could be painted, the music that might be shared and the fun that could be had! I’m so glad you were able to get away for a short bit of time. 🙂 xox
Ah, yes… I do dream of living there. Maybe one day.
It’s amazing however, how much even one day in the country can make a difference. The salty breeze and …the view. It’s not as picturesque as an island yet it’s beautiful in it’s simplicity.
I’m very happy to see you here and I hope some of the breeze does actually reach you!
Happy Thursday, Penny dear! 🙂 xxxxx
Happy, happy Thursday to you Marina! You do brighten my day, you know!!! 🙂 xoxo
Likewise, my dear!!! 😉
xxxxxxx
Gorgeous!
Thank you!! 🙂
I needed a day at the beach today…thank you, Marina! 🙂

Happy daydreaming and happy Thursday!
🙂 xxx

Quiet and refreshing, exactly what was needed. Thank you!! 🙂
The photos look great. And the place looks really nice. Hope the batteries are back to ‘full’. RH
Yes they are, RH! Thank you very much! Back to ‘operational’ mode now! 🙂
I can smell the sea from here best perfuim one can wear.. and oyu nearly run out… I can see a new production line created… and you say you are not a pro?! I can see plenty material collected here… not surprise you had that short you could not resisting coming back to the factory.. have fun.
Plenty material, you are right, but mainly in my brain. These were just a reminder of the beauty of the sea I love so much! Thank you, Doron! As I said… no escaping paintings that immerged from this place! 🙂
The sea is spectacular in all it’s variety.
It is, isn’t it?! Thanks for visiting, Ronnie! 🙂
I have a Casio Exilim too! Great camera! I loved how this pic: theologos 9/2013 -4749, and how it shows the concentration of sunlight in the water and the ocean floor. I would love to see your artistic interpretation of this on paper some day.
It is a friendly little camera isn’t it? That day the sea was so clear… It’s an idea. It’ll be interesting to see what comes out. Thank you, Russ! 🙂
Welcome back Marina and what beautiful pictures. Hope you had a great time
Yes, I did have a great time. Short but full recharge!
Thank you! 🙂
Really beautiful… 🙂
Thank you, Andrik! 🙂
Arrrrh,,,, so nice, I have missed my holiday abroad this year, with clear blue seas instead we have gone around our own coast line… These photos are beautiful and I hope you are enjoying and relaxing… Love to you my dear Marina….. 🙂 xox
Thank you, my dear Sue. It was nice and relaxing and much needed! 🙂 xxxx
Not a pro, but the result is great anyway ! Superbes photos et couleurs !!!
Thank you, Arielle. Just wanted to share the beauty…
🙂 Une belle soirée à toi!!
wow! The ocean looks so cool. It looks exactly like the sky. Awesome pictures. 🙂
It was amazing how the sea changed color as the weather and sky changed. A few clouds and the sea was dark blue gray, sunny and the sea would go turquoise blue. Pictures are nothing like what it really was, just a reminder – a hint! 🙂
Cool. You should start painting the sky and its reflection to the sea.
…already have!!!! 😉
Awesome! I’d like to see the painting.
Very nice image mosaic class
Wish you a nice Abend.Sei blessed
Sincerely Andrea
Auch Sie haben einen schönen Abend, Andrea! Thank you!! 🙂
