Morning
and looking outside my window,
I see this beautiful pigeon, dressed in an intricate furbelow fiery gown!
I quietly grab my camera to capture her and soon enough I see a friend approaching!
…and I remember this:
Two little dickie birds sitting on a wall
One named Peter, one named Paul.
Fly away Peter! Fly away Paul!
Come back Peter! Come back Paul!or… [my combo from the two nursery rhymes]
Two little blackbirds sitting on a hill
One named Jack, one named Gill.
Fly away Jack! Fly away Gill!
Come back Jack! Come back Gill!
So, I’m inclined to think it’s a he and a her, rather than two friends!
…and they oblige me with some poses
…but not for long!

Jeep hates them. She stares at them when they sit on the window sill. She makes a strange noise of warning. How’s Hera with the pigeons?

Me too! No wonder they like my balcony! Hera is quite indifferent I think… which is good because a couple of times when I wanted to photograph them, she came out without me noticing and she didn’t pay any attention to them! Glad you enjoyed these!

Brilliant group! Thanks, my friend. Well, it’s warmer than ‘normal’ as we’re having our ‘halcyon days’ (a warm winter break that lasts 1-2 weeks during January), but winter’s back from tomorrow and full force as far as we’re told. 😉🙂
I really like that phrase, ‘halcyon days’.. it’s so sci-fi mythico poetic.. Our temps actually are a bit better than normal.. I like it. Our car runs sooooo much better when it’s above freezing! 🙂😊
