Το Taming the Dragon είναι ένα άλμπουμ ιδιοσυγκρασιακής jazz-rock-ambient-electronica.

On the first collaboration of Brad Mehldau [keyboards] and Mark Guiliana [drums] the piano is limited in favor of vintage electronics, and drums are in a race with the pulse of loops. More about these reblogs

Lately I have been rebloging music videos from Oannes new blog. For my friends who didn’t know, or wonder why…. Oannes [aka Socratis Papahatzis] is my husband, partner in life and music and the one with my undying admiration. Together we have a band MK-O [the music of Marina Kanavaki & Oannes]. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and mine] musical selections. Although here I reblog mainly his musical selections, he writes exceptional articles on various topics [some may need translation], so do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!

  1. I love TAMING THE DRAGON. This was a unique and wonderful pairing of talents that resulted in an incredible recording. I remember I purchased this strictly because of Mark Giuliana’s involvement. I’ve been a fan of his since his work with Bowie.

    • Ah, me too, although I came to find out about it from B.M. side (huge fan!) and of course M.G. was a bonus! As you say “unique and wonderful pairing”! I hope you’re enjoying the weekend! 🙂🙏
