“Ethereal goth” is an unusual description. I listened, but without the written words I couldn’t understand what the singer was saying. An Internet search didn’t turn up the lyrics.
After your comment i tried a search too but also couldn’t find any. Some I could understand, most not. Some goth / dream pop / electronic/ experimental bands of the time (mainly 4ad label bands) used imaginary words like the Cocteau Twins.
