It’s one of those times when I see something and wish I could take it home and frame it.
šµ
By the garbage bins,
I noticed a pile of colorful layers.
Attracted by the beauty of the colors,
I looked closer.
There they were,
spiked colorful gems,
victims of our inexplicable need for constant change.
At best, our need for a neat orderly garden.
Laying flat,
one on top of the other.
Even in their demise they looked beautiful.
šµ
No more words…

I do hope my overindulgence is forgiven!
Consider it a tribute to a beauty lost but hopefully not forgotten.
šµ
Wishing everyone a beautiful Thursday.

Oh, I love this, and having worked in gardens and at a large conservatory, i know just what you mean. I always apprecaited the piles of discarded material – except when I was too dog-tired to care. š Wonderful photos!
A ha ha… too dog-tired, yep, sounds familiar, but I think I’d still get my cam or phone out to capture it! š
Thank you very much! So glad you enjoyed these. š _/_
Absolutely fabulous gems! You have the gift of the beautiful eye!
You know, Marina, you did take them home with you. They are here in these photos that you have shared with us!

Lovely, Marina. Have a wonderful weekend ⦠Be Safe š š¤
Isadora š
Thank you, my dear Isadora. I think it was hard to miss or pass by. I know well that you also see beauty everywhere! š
You too have a wonderful weekend, my dearest friend! Many many hugs and ššššššššššššš
You can find beauty in even the most unlovely of things. You have an amazing eye Marina – and super camera!
Oh, thank you so much, my friend. It was impossible not to notice! Camera was …my phone, all I had with me! š
Here’s to a lovely weekend! š
Beautiful perspective! The art and beauty in nature is found everywhere, and your photography helps us appreciate what we’d never see with our eyes. Thank you!
Aww, thank you so much, Mary Jo. It is everywhere and especially in the times we’re living I feel the need to look for it more. Sending many hugs! šš¤š

Ps could you tell me what message you get when you try to access his blog, so maybe I can ask wp about it. š
https://oannes.gr kicks me out when I try to like or comment. The comments require my URL but when I put it in the form I get kicked out and asked to sign in again when Iām already signed in. I think it must have something to do with .gr. Do others hav a problem with it? Xxxxxxxxxxxx
It’s probably because it’s a paid WordPress.com site which has a different login than our WP… still, this shouldn’t happen… I’ll check with them! Thank you for trying! š xoxoxoxoxoxo
Yes, it is somehow different. There are a few others that do the same. I really would love to visit that beautiful blog! ššš§”

We live in a world that offers un the āextraordinaryā in the most unexpected places. You have a wonderful way of recognizing the beauty in everything to see and do.
Ah, what a beautiful thing to say, my dearest Rebecca. Thank you so much. I think it’s an innate need to search for beauty… especially these days… a safe harbor. š Many hugs your way! š¤š
I love that thought: āan innate need to search for beauty….ā. So very well said.

So beautiful when viewed through your artistās eye, dear Marina. šš
Ah, thank you, Sylvia! šš¤
You made wonderful abstractions out of the spikes and barbs. Truly gems you found.
Thank you, my friend. I’m so happy I saw them! š
They were a great find.

See? Yet another beautiful post on something that caught your eye – and of all places, the trash. I would have taken the pictures and – done nothing. You? You share it with us.
The need for perfection has given you an outlet for your creativity. And yes, the colours are divine.
Thank you for sharing this (overindulgent, you?)
okay, guilty as charged [overindulgent]!!!!!! š šš¤£
Need for perfection huh?! You wouldn’t believe how scruffy I am! I mean, I have to get results there and then, if not, good riddance!!!! š
I’m so glad you enjoyed these poor spikeys!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
No, no, no. You’re not!
And what I meant was another’s need for perfection (get rid of not so perfect plants) gave YOU an outlet for your creativity.
I care not how scruffy or not you are. You’re beautiful either way. š
I did. Very much so. xoxoxo
Awwwwwwwwwwwww…….
and awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww….
A cloud 9er I am!!!!!!
You are soooo sweet!
A huge hug and many of those: ššššššššššššššš

Virtual it is then! š xoxoxoxo
A wonderful tribute to a tragic beauty. xx
Thank you, my dear friend! xoxoxo
Here it’s not so much change as an anal desire to control nature. Some people in my ‘hood should get a medal for making the most amount of noise – leaf blowers etc – per square inch of land. Totally ridiculous.
Ah, we have those too and I’m pretty sure that using a broom would be more effective. Not to mention all the dust they blow up in the air! Ridiculous indeed!
Beautiful photographs… btw, I wish I could salvage some beauty from noise pollution!
Even that is possible! š
Oh, I know. I am just super grumpy today as I had to go food shopping early early early and the stress – and sleep deprivation – of it always throws me off for a little while. I have already seen tangible good come from noisy neighbors… š
Look on the bright side… Friday tomorrow and weekend! š
Thank you!!!
