Great designs for February!
I wish I could ever get something done in a simpler way, not the large complex paintings, but I suppose we are who we are.
I always enjoy your blog posts about art and also hope your February is happening on the right tune. I’m seeing the cheerful colors, so I take the ride is smooth.
Thank you, my dear Inese, indeed, we are who we are… not always as we’d like! In art school, all my tutors advised me to not stay long on a painting and while everyone would take lots of time in life drawings, I would produce many๐. Not so environmentally friendly!๐คฃ
Hope February is a smooth and cheerful month! ๐
Ok
Absolutely glorious! Marina, you are so gifted ! โค๏ธ๐ผxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Awwww…… you are too sweet! Thank you, my super talented friend! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
and huge hugs!

Oh, there aren’t enough flowers….I’m picking all the lilies and lilacs and hydrangeas and roses and sending them via air balloon to your shores. Be sure to be on the look out as they approach! Sending lots of love too xoxoxoxox๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ
By the way, I see in the American Heritage Dictionary that February for the Romans was the month of purification, and that the Latin word februa meant ‘expiatory offerings’ and was possibly of Sabine origin.
…as I said in my previous reply… ๐
That is very interesting. ๐ ๐
The Roman calendar used to begin with March, so along with February now being the second month, it could historically be thought of as month number โ1.
๐๐คฃ It would!!! Hmmm… Only one solution I can think of. Delete Roman calendar from history! ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฃ๐๐คฃ
But it’s basically the calendar we’re still using, so I don’t see how you could delete it from history.
I meant… alter history! ๐
As I slowly scrolled down from “2 Magnifique” to Detail Une to Detail Deux to Detail Trois, I felt like The Incredible Shrinking Man, a film classic from 1957. And yet as I shrank and became ever more immersed in the exquisite detailed beauty, I found my mind expanding!!– and that doesn’t happen too often!! Thank you, dear Marina, for allowing me to fully experience the mind-body connection!!
Ah, my dear kind Sir Mark, I cannot imagine a more expanded mind, hence it was decided by Zeus, that you become the recipient of ambrosia (the fine quality only meant for him) for life, in fact all lives, for your special kindness and generosity!

Happy February, dear Marina!
I drew your Picasso gown last night.
I just mailed it to you. Hope you love it!
So….advice, please.
So all the AGMs & RR are wearing Picasso gowns. Lala LaSwirl (now being played by Charlotte Hoather) shows up in a Degas gown, just to be a thorn in RR’s side. Of course RR will do a costume change to get back at Lala. What is a good artist for me to design that gown from?

Happy creative February, my sweet friend!!!
[As soon I reply to you here, I’ll go see!]
Van Gogh would be my immediate answer or Da Vinci or… if you want a true Picasso rival: Matisse [they were both friends and rivals]
Degas rival, n the other hand, was Manet […well supposed to be frenemies] Have I confused you enough? Nuh… I think you’ll know which one to choose! ๐
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Yes confused, but I think I’ll check out Van Gogh and Da Vinci. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Coming here after having seen the Starry Night, so… PERFECT CHOICE!!!!!!!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
OMG! It has to be A Starry Night gown!!!
Oh WOW!!!!!!! Now that’s going to be a huge thorn! I wonder what she’ll come back with after that! ๐
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
I’ll cross that inspiration when I get there!
Oh, but of course!!!!! ๐
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Hahahaha! The Silent Scream! Just kidding! ๐ ๐ xoxoxo

Your way with colour is stunning as usual my dear.
Awww, thank you for your sweet words, my dearest Gilly!
Wishing you a wonderful month! xoxoxoxo
I would love to have been in your math class and learn how to make numbers like you do, Marina! Happy February!
A ha ha… eventhough my math teacher thought highly of me, I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t agree with my visions of numbers! ๐ Thank you for your sweet words, my friend! Looking forward to a journey to another month with you! ๐คโค
I knew you’d have something special for February. A gorgeous mix of colours and fantastic design, dear Marina. ๐ โค

You palette is always exquisite, Marina! I love how the cool purple (of winter) is sprinkled with warm yellow (spring) hiding but never gone for long. “Below” for now, but soon to be “above.” ๐
Exactly, my dear Mary Jo, ..”soon to be ‘above'”. Thank you so much. I’m so happy you enjoyed my February scribble! xoxoxoxo
