Η μοναδικότητα μιας καλλιτέχνιδας όπως η Cassandra Wilson φαίνεται πιο πολύ από οπουδήποτε σε ένα άλμπουμ με standards, όπως εκείνο που κυκλοφόρησε στα τέλη των ’80s, όντας ακόμα μέλος της πρωτοποριακής κολλεκτίβας των M-Base. Την ακούμε εδώ στο τραγούδι των Lerner & Loewe. Την συνοδεύουν οι Mulgrew Miller – πιάνο και Lonnie Plaxico – μπάσο.

The uniqueness of an artist like Cassandra Wilson is more apparent than anywhere else on an album of standards, like the one she released in the late ’80s, while still being a member of the avant garde collective M-Base.
We hear her on the classic Lerner & Loewe song, accompanied by Mulgrew Miller – piano and Lonnie Plaxico – bass
