Loyalty… an orange one.

How can I

ignore

such loyalty?

A month has passed,

the ice has melted

yet the orange

still lingers

loyal to his friend

…the bin

And a dedication to the loyal bitter orange:

  1. I knew this was going to happen!
    They’re inseparable.
The bin is just as loyal. They are planning an orange world domination!
Probably do a better job than or current leaders.
Come to think of it, currants might do a better job. LOL

    • They really are inseparable. It’s been a month since they first met and since then there have been piles and piles of branches from the clippings after the snow, picked up by cleaning vans again and again, yet the orange still lingers. Maybe even the cleaners respected them! πŸ˜‰ Oh, I’m pretty sure any vegetable or fruit would do a much better job! πŸ˜‰
Early for you and late for me! Our Wednesday has 20 more minutes till it turns to Thursday!
Hugs – love and many many xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  2. Who would think an orange would be so loyal? Only an artist loyal to her artistic senses would take notice of such a thing as a persistently loyal orange, document it and share it. By noting the loyalty of such a simple thing as an orange, you make the world just that much better. Prokofiev certainly had a dynamic sense of the love of three oranges.

    • Awwww…… you are so sweet, my friend!
I walk by every day and see it standing there, loyal to his friend. How can I ignore it? Don’t tell anyone but I greet it with goodmorning wishes! So far it hasn’t responded. Too loyal, I say! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
As for Prokofiev, yes indeed and a great sense of humor too! πŸ˜‰

  3. Your orange has reminded me of the years when as a college student in New York I rode the subway to school. In a subway station where I changed trains I once noticed that somebody had dropped a bagel onto the train tracks. I watched for weeks as it gradually deteriorated.
