Dusk cloud

It was dusk,

the point when the sun is at 18 degrees below the horizon,

no sunlight in the sky,

yet my attention was drawn by a light up above.

A white cloud was glowing,

for a short while

before the murky clouds

swallowed it.

On this day,

Robert Schumann

conducted the

Premiere of the Manfred Overture op. 115,

in Leipzig, Germany

we hear it from the

Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra
conducted by Wilhelm Furtwängler
[Live Recording, Berlin, December 18, 1949]

Still glowing…

    • Ah, thank you, Sylvia. I can tell you the sight was far more spectacular than what the camera captured, but even with my phone, I had to photograph it!
      Happy Monday and week ahead!

  1. The music of your words gives deserved attention to the little phenomenon. You always capture those moments which could easily have passed without notice. That’s what artists do!!
