Ακούμε το Miserere Mei Deus για πέντε φωνές, πλαισιωμένο από δύο οργανικά κομμάτια: Deus, In Nomine Tuo Salvum Me Fac και Chi A Martello Dio Gl’ Il Togli.

Από το φωνητικό συγκρότημα A Sei Voci και τα οργανικά σχήματα: Les Saqueboutiers De Toulouse & Ensemble Labytrinthes.

Josquin Des Prez, the “Prince of Music” as he was called in his time, is the most important representative of the French-Flemish school, the man who brought polyphonic art to unprecedented heights of perfection, serving as a role model for later composers such as Palestina, Di Lasso… Josquin is one of my favorite composers.

We hear Miserere Mei Deus for five voices, performed by A Sei Voci, framed by two instrumentals: Deus, In Nomine Tuo Salvum Me Fac and Chi A Martello Dio Gl’ Il Togli, performed by Les Saqueboutiers de Toulouse & Ensemble Labyrinthes.

Direction: Bernard Fabre-Garrus

* For my friends who didn’t know, or first timers here, Oannes [aka Socratis Papahatzis] is my husband, partner in life and music and the one with my undying admiration. Together we have a band MK-O [the music of Marina Kanavaki & Oannes]. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and sometimes mine] musical selections. Do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!
