When am I?
I think Saturday. Okay, I’m 4 days early. Whew!
I know these posts are about Gandalf, but Hera steals the show every time!
Soooooo cute! Hey, is she wearing a snow cap, or is that an optical illusion?
Optical illusion!! 😉 Of course she steals the show… she’s the queen! But we haven’t been able to visit that place so she can run… We don’t like mingling with the crowd …obviously! 😉 🤣
🤗🤗❤️💖😘🐾🌷💗💗💜💕💖🤗
A ha ha…. thank you, my dear Laura! It was a pleasure freezing those moments! As for Hera, she is the queen of our hearts and certainly nothing to do with cold-blooded royals! 😉
She sends many tail wags and I send you many hugs and wishes for a beautiful day.
Oh, Marina – those mountain captures are exquisite. I was looking up the name of the Greek goddess of snow – Chione. I found out that Chione was the daughter of Boreas, the god of the north wind. My love for Greek mythology started when I was 8 years old and it is still my most favourite mythology. Sending many hugs, to you and Hera.
Chione [Chioni] is also the greek word for snow. You reminded me of my thesis “A Tower for the Winds” which was inspired by the Tower of the Winds [Aerides: Winds], an octagonal building in the center of Athens. It is considered the world’s first meteorological station, featuring a combination of sundials, a water clock, a wind vane and the eight wind deities on each facet below the frieze. Boreas, is one of them!
Many more hugs back, my dearest friend!
and kisses from Hera! xoxo
Same everywhere, although our chaos was due to mismanagement. People were stranded for almost 24 hours in their car. The snow storm arrived a couple of hours earlier and people were caught on their way home.
Elsa could be living there! Beautiful pictures 🙏🏼
Thank you very much! 🙏

an usual sight Marina and was good to see you freezing these moments in time! Your snow queen has a warm heart though compared to most icy royals

Hera looks rather pensive in her snowy setting.
Her snow is not as soft and frothy as she likes it! Too many paws were there before us!
Does she like to romp and cavort in the deep snow?
Yes, she does… like a fox! 😉
🙂
😘
Fresh snow + Blue Sky + Sunny Day = Extra bright + extra delight for Hera. Yamas!
Yes + Yes + Yes = Yes + Yes!!!!!
Yamas, Frank! clink!🍷

Nice to see Gandalf back to normal. Lots of white. Hera’s happy. It’s threatening to snow here.
Thank you, my friend. I hope you get a light version…
We’re set for a big snowstorm tomorrow. Stay off the roads, people!
Stay safe and warm, Liz! I hope people do stay off the roads!!!
We plan to! (My husband already nixed the scenic drive we had planned.)
Oh….. it’s for the best. That drive can wait a little.
Agreed!
🤗👍
People go crazy out here when we get snow.
People tend to get overconfident here when it snows and go careening off the road.
People just run into each other like a demolition derby out here.

Keep warm, Liz. We are almost into February and only a few short weeks until spring.
January and February are always the hardest / coldest months over here.. and some of March. Here’s to spring!
Beautiful photos!
Thank you, sweet Dale! xoxoxo
