In a strange way, Igor Stravinsky chooses for the first time to use Arnold Schoenberg’s 12-tone composition method [the two of them had particularly cold relationships] immediately after the German composer’s death in 1951. Starting with the Laments of Jeremiah, of which a part [De Elegia Prima] we hear here.
Members of the Columbia Symphony Orchestra and the Schola Cantorum Choir are conducted by Stravinsky himself.

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ [why comments are closed here], so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the music !
