Always talking about pioneers of electronics, we meet the Russian Leon Theremin, inventor of the musical instrument named after him – year of patent filing : 1928.
The Lithuanian Clara Rockmore, whom we hear on the Theremin version of [Rachmaninoff’s] Vocalise was trained by the inventor himself, with whom she had a decades-long partnership. [Picture : L. Theremin, C. Rockmore]

Enjoy!

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ [why comments are closed here], so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the music!
