Ah, yes!
From where I live the closest coast is about 30 minutes (55-60km). The one in the photos is 120km, about an hour drive.
Really brought back some memories but with your own unique lens and locale.

You make me want to write a book about that! The good old days when the water could be drunk without boiling and the entire night sky had no light pollution… probably forever gone… or gone for a long time until tech cleans up our planet.
That sounds bitter sweet nostalgic and beautiful all at the same time. But…”tech cleaning up our planet”? I wouldn’t trust it even with elementary stuff!!!!!
Ha ha… you’re right. Bittersweet is the word I was looking for. As for the future, I had this dream while up there that the whole area was incredibly clean with low, discreet buildings blending nicely with the environement. It was just a dream but it got me thinking… the distant future might be okay after all!
It’s our thoughts that keep us going. Why not make them pleasant! 😉
They are… I generally see the past through rose tinted glasses. Apparently human beings are wired to remember things that way. So I heard… 🤔🤷🤷♂️🧩🙂

We visited the coast yesterday so I’ll be posting shortly. First I must drive my daughter and youngest granddaughter to the airport for their flight back to England. It’s been a wonderful week whilst they visited. 😎🙋♂️
