Another member of the musicians-born-in-Febraury club : Ossip Gabrilowitsch was an American, born in Russia to a Jewish family. Not a renowned composer, due to the little number of his works [notable ones however] he made a successful career as a conductor and piano soloist, giving also recitals with his soprano wife Clara Clemens, Mark Twain’ s daughter.
We hear his Study for Left Hand, from Two Piano Pieces, op. 12.
Performed by Andrey Cugnin.

Enjoy!

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ [why comments are closed here], so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the music!
