Από τους λιγότερο γνωστούς συνθέτες της ρομαντικής περιόδου, αρκετά ωστόσο αξιόλογος, ο [γεννημένος Φεβρουάριο] Charles-Marie Widor [1844-1937] διακρίθηκε κυρίως για τις “Συμφωνίες” του για σόλο εκκλησιαστικό όργανο.
Ακούμε την την Ρομάντσα του Γάλλου συνθέτη για φλάουτο και πιάνο [Laurel Zaucker – φ, Marc Shapiro – π] και στη συνέχεια την Toccata από την 5η Συμφωνία του. Στο όργανο ο Arlan Wareham]

One of the lesser-known composers of the romantic period, quite remarkable though, is the [February – born] Charles-Marie Widor [1844-1937] distinguished mainly for his “Symphonies” for church organ solo.
We hear the French composer’s Romance for flute and piano [Laurel Zaucker – f, Marc Shapiro – p] and then the Toccata from 5th Symphony. Arlan Wareham on organ.
