Do all the little patches symbolize something specific for you? You say this is a sea tree, so the patches could represent spots of light glinting off the surface of the water.
I see them as fragments of sea blending with the sun and the sky and nourishing a tree. How I imagined a summer tree. 😉

I do not mean to relegate your super summery art to the mundane but I’ve just ordered some cushions printed in this colour palette – summer here has downturned to cool and drizzly so this post is especially uplifting (and its my birth month too!) May July bring you and Hera much joy!

Primaries are hard to make work together, for me.
It works here because of the combination of the 2 into turquoise.

Happy July, Marina! I adore your tree today – there is an echo of your “as above, so below” theme in the way the top-most reach keeps symmetry with the roots spreading from the base. And the background squares are like huge pointilist building blocks. Gorgeous color palette, too!
Oh, Babsje, I love your interpretation. It is in many ways an ‘As Above So Below’ and those building blocks are fragments of the sea joining the sun. Thank oy so much, my friend.
