Στο σύντομο διάστημα της ζωής του, έχοντας ξεκινήσει με το handicap της οστεογέννεσης [οι πάσχοντες απ’ αυτήν έχουν εύθραστα οστά, ο ίδιος είχε επίσης να αντιπαλέψει ένα εκπληκτικά μικρό ανάστημα – 71 cm] ο Γαλλοϊταλός πιανίστας και συνθέτης της jazz Michel Petrucciani, κατάφερε να καταπλήξει τους μουσικούς του χώρου, και στη συνέχεια τα ακροατήρια.
