Το δέος των μουσικολογούντων μπροστά στην πρωτοφανή περίπτωση τα πέντε τελευταίων κουαρτέτων του Μπετόβεν [θα φτάσουμε σ’ αυτά εν καιρώ], όσο δικαιολογημένο και αν είναι, αδικεί κάποια προγενέστερα, των οποίων η σχετική “συμβατικότητα” δεν τα κάνει λιγότερο άξια να ακουστούν.
Ακούμε τους Alban Berg Quartet στο δεύτερο και τρίτο μέρος, Adagio affettuoso ed appassionato [00:00], Scherzo. Allegro molto [09:27] του πρώτου κουαρτέτου εγχόρδων του LVB.

The musicologists awe for the unprecedented case of Beethoven’s last five quartets [we ‘ll get to them in time], however justified, is unfair to some of the previous ones whose relative “conventionality” does not make them less worth hearing.
We hear Alban Berg Quartet performing the second and third parts, Adagio affettuoso ed appassionato [00:00], Scherzo. Allegro molto [09:27] of LVB’s first String Quartet.
