Not a masterpiece, but a particularly pleasant, “morning” piece is the first part, Adagio – Allegro moderato from Sonata for clarinet and pianoforte in E-flat major, that young Mendelssohn composed in 1824 – 15 years old. We hear it from Charles Neidich & Robert Levin – clarinet, pianoforte respectively.

Enjoy!

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ [why comments are closed here], so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the music !
