Το ‘Φθινοπωρινό Σχεδίασμα’ είναι ένα έργο ορχηστρικό, ασυνήθιστο για τα δεδομένα του συνθέτη : χαμηλών τόνων και συναισθηματικών αποχρώσεων, γράφτηκε αμέσως μετά τον θάνατο του πατέρα του.
Ο επηρεασμός από τη ‘Νήσο των Νεκρών’ του Rachmaninoff (εδώ) είναι φανερός – ο θαυμασμός του Prokofiev γι’ αυτόν, κάθε άλλο παρά αμοιβαίος ήταν…

‘Autumnal Sketch’ is an orchestral work, unusual by the composer’s standards: of low tones and emotional nuances, it was written immediately after his father’s death.
The influence of Rachmaninoff’s ‘Island of the Dead’ (here) is obvious – Prokofiev’s admiration for him was anything but mutual.
