Thank you dear Marina for those lovely blooms and well wishes for May Day… I have to say our skies this year beat your own.. In that we had temps of 26C and clear skies for once of deep blue… And I spent my special day in the bluebell woods…

Wild is good. It keeps you grounded. I miss the sounds of raw thunder on our somewhat flimsy cottage built around 1900. All I hear now is a bird chirping at 3:56 a.m. and the hum of our noisy fridge. Almost totally denatured here.🙂
I know what you mean and I appreciate living the elements [full force!]. I’m just still a little cautious -being our first year here and on a static caravan- not knowing the challenges we may be facing. The house was shaking from the gusts of wind! The complete opposite to city living! 😉
Sounds great. I just did an image search for “static caravan.” Looks like you might be on posts slightly above the ground? Our old cottage was suspended by 4x4s grounded in primitive cement blocks. It was built by a French-Canadian barn builder, so the story goes. Never had a problem in over 110 years! You probably just gotta get used to it! 🙂
It is a kind of ‘refined’ static caravan, on metal posts on a concrete slab. The attached deck with an 8×3 meter awning is what’s probably creating the vibrations. I’m amazed the canvas wasn’t shredded to pieces. The winds were at 90-110km non-stop for 4-5 days! It was unreal! It’s the first year, so we definitely are learning!
ha ha… i just looked it up – canvas was used for sails in the 19th C and for tents right up ’till the mid-1960s. So it’s gotta be pretty tough!
Yes, well, we may need to upgrade to a more rigid construction to avoid sailing away! 😂

The wind blew in some beautiful skies. So many pretty flowers.
The wind blew wildly! It split in two a poor olive tree just outside our property. I’m amazed at how some flowers even survived! Thank you, Tim!
