On my journey through the world of tiny flowers, my dear friend Resa pointed out a glaring omission: the delicate blooms of the olive tree. So, here they are, adorning our trees in abundance along with the day and night sounds that make them come to life!

With the generous contributions of:
The magpies and assorted feathered friends, for their lively daytime chorus.
The sheep, for their distant, soulful bleats.
The owls, for their sweet nighttime serenades.
The dogs, for their enthusiastic barks and boundless energy.
And all the unseen beings who added their magic to these moments.โจ
Happy Thursday, everyone!

I really like the hills in the background. They are like what I visualized back when I was reading Plato and other Greek lit in my youth. Before the internet, we used our imaginations a lot more! ๐
Before the internet we used to have a great deal more than we do now! Imagination is the first victim! What I can’t share is the scent of thymes and wild bushes which lures me back every day driving home from the city!
You’re fortunate to live in a place where olive trees flourish. Olive oil promotes a healthy life.
Thank you, my friend. Yes, we feel fortunate living here too. Only minor [and I mean minor] problem is that I am allergic to olive tree pollen!
Beautiful blossoms, and hopefully a lovely olive harvest to come.. Sending lots of love and have a wonderful Sunday xx โค

Thank you, dahling!
Honestly, I never saw olive blossoms before, but I just knew they had to be tiny.
I love them! The leaves are wonderful, as well. The tree is magnificent.
So, what are you going to do with all those olives?
Love to Hera … and all!

I’m so glad you asked, as I probably wouldn’t have photographed them! Shows you how we take things we say daily for granted! I love that tree too! As for the olives, well actually very few of these flowers will become olives. Since we have 6, if we are fortunate to have many, we may get some olive oil, but as it’s first year we are taking care of them, I think we most likely will prepare them for salads etc.
Love and hugs

You seem to have noisier nights than days. The olive blossoms are beautiful.
I think that may be me boosting the audio level thinking that the owls wouldn’t be heard clearly! They are, though full of allergens [she says while sneezing her head off!]
That would explain it.
Oh Marina – simply lovely. For me, olive groves evoke a sense of peace and tranquility. The trees themselves, with their gnarled trunks and silvery-green leaves, possess an ancient, timeless quality, connecting us to centuries of history and tradition. The beauty of the landscape, the fresh, clean air, and the absence of distractions allow me to breathe deeply and be at peace. Thank you for sending me the beauty of your side of the world. Hugs!!
Ah, so happy you enjoyed the peace from my side of the world. As I often say, it may not be the most spectacular place, but it’s beautiful in its simplicity. The olive trees are really special trees, you are right. Glad you enjoyed the journey! Many hugs your way, my dearest friend.
