life and a new month

Nature [life] has her way…
One moment this:
gray sky
and the next this:

blue sky

and here is my rather ‘bumpy’ attempt to film it.

Same view, with just a few hours difference.

Here’s to clear blue skies after a storm
and
here’s to a clear skied new month!

Happy July 1st!

Full Moon tomorrow!  😉

  3. Madhu says:

Ephemeral nature! Your photos are very evocative Marina. Wondering how many shades of blue make up shot no. 3!

  4. I am pleased the storm has passed Marina.. I hope there are more blue skies than grey .. xxx ❤ Love to you my friend x

  5. Mother Nature showcased her strength in your video. I think you did a fantastic job of caprturing it.
I took several videos on vacation and found it to be fun but I must learn to move slowly. My goal for the summer is to try to master it.
    Lovely images, as always, Marina.
Happy July and Happy Summer !!!!
    Izzy 😍

    • Mother Nature is a miracle worker! Thank you so much, my dear friend. I know what you mean. My first try was faster [and a lot bumpier too!] also it was hard to record the wind.
Happy July and Summer to you, my dear Izzy! xxxxxxxxx 🙂
ps hope you are much better!

  6. Such a wonder to live with a view of sky and water. Always changing with such power, drama, and promise.
Thinking about you and hoping you are managing there OK.

    • I know – I wish I could have this more often but even once in a while is enough to charge ones batteries for a long time! Thank you so much for your thoughts! 🙂

Perfect video recording with excellent sound effects. Loved the concept. Thank you dear Marina.

  8. Wow, quite a capture, Marina! Here’s to more of the blue:)

  13. Lovely post of transformation, Marina! I love both gray and blue skies. 🙂 Hope you had a good weekend and now wishing you a great week! xoxo

  14. I hope these images reflect how the present uncertainty in Greece today, will lead to clear skies and smooth sailing tomorrow.

  15. Sorry, missed this! Happy July Marina – you are a seriously busy person. Hope the album sales are going well too… RH

  16. Andrew Seal says:

Thinking of you today Marina. Your father’s film is magical. Wishing you nothing but clear skies ahead and a wonderfully creative July.

    • Thank you, my dear Andrew. I really have to do something with that type as many have misread ‘rather’ to ‘father’: a rather ‘bumpy’ film! Your wishes are very very welcome! Have a beautiful week. 🙂

  17. frizztext says:

greetings to your father, I watched his video! Yes, rain and thunder are attractive like any catharsis. Maybe your election about the Euro problem will be a catharsis too; recently I added a little rain to my banjo music, I hope I can entertain you?

    • Ah, Frizz thank you! [love the sound of the rain too with your banjo and voice! 🙂 [not my father’s, I wrote: rather! but that type is not very clear…!]

  18. Adamsart says:

Gorgeous, Marina!. Love the video too!
    Happy 4th

  19. Debra says:

I loved the video, Marina! I haven’t been around a lot of rain in quite some time! I found the sound refreshing. Very, very nice. 🙂

  20. The force of Nature is always so beautiful… doesn’t matter if with the sunshine or a storm… I feel so terribly sorry about the actual “political storm” over Greece… I realize that is a big deal only here in Europe, since in the rest of the world people aren’t affected. I still have such beautiful memories of last year in the Peloponnese and I dearly hope it will end soon since I know that for the people is devastating. What the big nations (Germany in the first place) are doing, is against all odds and absolutely selfish… Kisses and love, dear Marina
    :-)claudine

    • Ah, my dear Claudine… thank you so much for your encouragement and support. May logic and wisdom prevail …which I very much doubt but one can only hope! 🙂 Love and hugs to you too, my dear friend! xxxxxxx

  21. Amy Reese says:

So pretty. I don’t mind grey skies when the blue sky isn’t far behind. Happy July, Marina!

  22. Mary says:

An inspirational and beautiful scene to watch unfold Marina – a very Happy July to you! Have the most wonderful weekend my friend.

  23. Bumba says:

A beautiful month to you, Marina. I enjoyed the film very much.

  24. I hope you’re doing ok. I’ve heard things on the radio about Greece the past few days. I was wondering about you this morning.

  25. Resa says:

OH!! BTW, I am near the end of my job, have saved some $ & want to buy some tights with your art on them.
Will there be a Society Six promo coming up for either a discount or free shipping!
I am so excited to buy some of your art on tights!

    • Awwwww….thank you so much!!!!
They usually offer free shipping twice every month [mid and end of a month].
I will let you know though.
      xxxxxxxx
ps because I haven’t designed leggins with all the work shown at S6, if you find work that you like more, I’ll be happy to design one for you! So let me know. 🙂

      • I just got notified that S6 offer 15% Off Apparel + Free Shipping Sitewide through July 5th. If not, don’t worry there will be another free shipping offer soon after.

  26. Resa says:

Happy July 1, Marina! This is a special post for me, as July 1 is Canada’s birthday!
Today we are 148 years old.
    Love your video!
    Resa xoxoxo

  27. Rajagopal says:

No need to wait for tomorrow’s full moon, as it is already visible on your glowing visage. Ominously dark clouds suddenly rumbling out of clear blue skies may or may not be a harbinger of things to come, against the fast approaching D day of 5th July. I truly hope Greece gets its act together and successfully tackles the present crisis. Not to worry, prospects will always remain bright in the horizon…happy July, and happier days ahead, marina…

    • Ah, dear Raj, thank you so much for your very kind, flattering and hopeful words. They are truly appreciated. Here’s to happier days ahead for everyone. 🙂

  28. Meanderer says:

Happy July, Marina. All the very best to you and yours 🙂

  29. Wow, that’s quite something – I like the look of the storm, but glad I wasn’t in it. Happy July, Marina!

  30. It’s good to see your post and feel encouraged by your great spirit and attitude. yes, may july be one of blue skies, just enough rain to keep things healthy, and positive solutions for your country.

sending wishes for extra smiles for you and your family. z

  31. yarnspinnerr says:

Grey sky is very welcome after the silvery blue one that left everybody hot and itching.
    Loved your video.

  32. lazfreedman says:

Happy July 1st Marina! and Happy Canada Day ! 🙂
    Peace to you,
    Laz

  33. Patricia says:

I think both are beautiful. A very happy July to you, my friend!

  34. Greece is in the world news lately and here’s hoping their days become bright and blue.

  35. aFrankAngle says:

Great contrast from what seems to be a wonderful location. Isn’t by the see wonderful! Happy July! …. and given all the latest news, I’ve been thinking more about you and your fellow citizens.

    • Being by the sea is wonderful indeed. This storm came out of a clear blue sunny sky and in just half an hour everything turned gray! Out in the countryside these changes can be very spectacular. It also seemed quite symbolic considering my country’s current situation. A beautiful July to you, my friend.

  36. Lucid Gypsy says:

Ahh if we didn’t have grey skies we wouldn’t appreciate the blue ones. What are the mountains Marina?
