I found the film ‘different’ and am still wondering if I’ll review it… This Glass piece for me is mildly disquieting! Sometimes his work reminds me of his name… glass. As if whatever he’s looking at is encapsulated in a test tube or solid cube of glass. Suspended… neither dead or alive. ๐ Thanks for this. Somehow Aphex Twin slipped past my radar…
Glass has his moments. I get what you’re saying. There are times his work is brilliant and others either indifferent or just a repetition of himself, or should I say minimalistic ๐๐คฃ๐
I had a friend who wrote for Sam’s, a mostly defunct record store chain here (killed by the internet). He put it succinctly… “Music is very personal.” No one would accuse Glass of not having a distinct style! ๐๐ โจ

Yeah… it’s sort of how I’m feeling this morning with all the Boxing Week specials tempting me to splurge.. “I don’t need a new PC… I don’t need a new PC… I don’t need…” Hopefully my mantra will save my pocketbook! ๐ Do you guys get the Boxing Week hype in Greece? or is that just a North American thing? ๐ค๐
No Boxing Week -or type- here… however the gift shopping continues as some exchange gifts on New Year’s Eve. Also ever since our ‘recession’ shops try to have ‘sales’ all year round on any odd occasion, so temptations are always here… if one has eyes and ears for them! I try to keep them airtight shut [both! ๐ ] ๐คข๐๐๐

love this colour combo and the touch of blue makes a perfect third – some real vivacity in those brush strokes like a big clock striking!
It was quite ‘unorthodox’ using acrylic that way, over the poor delicate watercolors, but I must admit I enjoyed it! So happy you liked it, Laura! ๐
