The leader’s name was, of course Esbjorn Svensson, who I listened to constantly when I was living in Grasse, in the south of France.

What a treat you are to have blogged this fabulous and extraordinary jazz. Bringing memories back to 2008 when that memorable E.S.T. jazz group were to preform at the Montreal (my home town) jazz festival, but it’s leader whose name escapes me, died the just before his performance at said festival. Your a treat because that singer’s soul of yours generously keeps sending us, we the jazz lovers, your exceptional choices of the world’s greatest music, jazz and jazz influenced sounds that of which makes life’s rough patches livable…!

Esbjörn Svensson was his name [E.S.T. Esbjörn Svensson Trio] and what a loss it was too, so young and at the peak of their carreer. I’m so glad you enjoyed it, my friend! 🙂 Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
