from Oannes blog…

Τον ακούμε σε δυο κομμάτια, “Little One” [Hancock] με τη σούπερ μπάντα συνεργατών του Miles [Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Tony Williams] από το άλμπουμ – Tribute σ’ αυτόν [η συμμετοχή του χαρακτηρίστηκε απ’ τον ίδιο ως κορυφαία στιγμή της καριέρας του] και “Elegy” [Tony Williams], από το άλμπουμ A Place In Time του 2016 [Gary Bartz – ts, Buster Williams – b, Lenny White – d, Patrick Rushen – p]

Trumpeter Wallace Roney, one of the top of his generation, died at the age of 59 from a coronavirus in a New Jersey hospital. Among his many collaborations one can mention those with Jazz Messengers, Ornette Coleman, Tony Williams and of course Miles Davis – he always had a special place among his disciples. We hear him in two tracks, “Little One” [Hancock] from the album Tribute to Miles Davis that his old colleagues [Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Tony Williams] recorded in 1994 [Roney’s participation was described by him as the highlight of his career] and “Elegy” [Tony Williams], from Wallace Roney’s 2016 album A Place In Time [Gary Bartz – ts, Buster Williams – b, Lenny White – d, Patrick Rushen – p]

More about these reblogs
Lately I have been rebloging music videos from Oannes new blog. For my friends who didn’t know, or wonder why…. Oannes [aka Socratis Papahatzis] is my husband, partner in life and music and the one with my undying admiration. Together we have a band MK-O [the music of Marina Kanavaki & Oannes]. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and mine] musical selections. • Although here I reblog mainly his musical selections, he writes exceptional articles on various topics [some may need translation], so do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!

Splendid dear Marina and Ooanes, Unfortunately I’m unable to like if comment at Ooanes blog on my phone. 💕❤️😊🌸💜🤗
I will let him know! Sending many hugs and love your way! xoxoxo
It’s just with my phone. I wonder if others hVe that problem.
I don’t know… I’ve noticed that from my phone I sometimes can’t watch videos in a post… but commenting, I haven’t had a problem. It could be because Oannes is a WordPress.org and not .com blog…
I think that is the problem because I can’t find his blog in my reader at all. xoxoxo
I had to subscribe in order to get his notifications, so maybe that’ll do the trick! 😉 xoxoxoxoxoxo
Oh I hope so! Xo 😚
