from Oannes blog…

Τυχαίνει να είναι το αγαπημένο μου απ’ τα άλμπουμ τους, οπότε ας ακούσουμε τρία τραγούδια του: “Who’s Being Sleeping Here”, All Sold Out”, “Yesterday’s Papers”.

The famous Rolling Stones concert in Panathinaikos stadium, which was interrupted by the Police, four days before the coup, was part of their tour for Between the Buttons, released in early ’67. It happens to be my favorite of their albums, so we here are three songs from it: “Who’s Sleeping Here,” “All Sold Out, “Yesterday’s Papers.”

My junior year of high school…
🙂 🙂
Your post reminded me that The Stones album “Sticky Fingers” came out in 1971. I was 12 years old when it was released. A friend’s mom drove us to the record store and “Sticky Fingers” were displayed on the end isles, since it had just been released. The first Album covers had a zipper in the pants. There was one album without the cellophane wrapping. My friend’s mom picked up the album, unzipped the pants, opened the album cover to discover underwear. She exclaimed rather loudly “Oh! I don’t get to see his dick? What a gyp!”, and put the album back on the shelf. My friend said “MOoOM! People can hear you.” Then we laughed at his mother’s bold reaction of feeling like she had been gypped.
A ha ha haaaa…. that’s hilarious!!!!!! Even if it weren’t The Rolling Stones, I bet you’d remember that album!!! 😂🤣😂🤣
It was one of those childhood experiences you never forget.
well.. no wonder!!!!!! 😉
Rolling Stones! Still rocking’ after all these years.
