Ιστορικές θα μείνουν ακόμα οι ηχογραφήσεις με τον Bowie στα middle-late ’70s [The Idiot, Lust For Life]. Επακολουθεί μια πληθώρα άλμπουμ [συμπεριλαμβανομένων των δυο της επανασύνδεσης των Stooges], στο πλαίσιο των οποίων ο Iggy αρκείται να είναι, όπως είχε πει σε μια συνέντευξη “the greatest Iggy Pop impersonator on the planet…”
Ένα μικρό podcast με 7 τραγούδια του, κυρίως απ’ τα ’70s.
On this date, April 21, 1947, in Muskegon, Michigan, James Newell Osterberg, better known as Iggy Pop, was born. The man who turned yelling into an art form, one of the greatest performers in the history of rock. As the front-man of Stooges from the late ’60s he defined the “punk rock” genre. His work with Bowie in the middle-late ’70s [The Idiot, Lust For Life] is also historic. And then comes a plethora of albums [including the two from the Stooges reunion], in which our man is content to be, “the greatest Iggy Pop impersonator on the planet…” like he said in one of his interviews.
So here’s a 7 song podcast, mostly from the ’70s.

00:00 No Fun [The Stooges, 1969]
5:16 TV Eye [Fun House, 1970]
9:34 Search And Destroy [Raw Power, 1973]
13:02 Dum Dum Boys [The Idiot, 1977]
20:15 Some Weird Sin [Lust For Life, 1977]
23:54 I Got Nothin’ [Kill City (Iggy Pop & James Williamson), 1977]
27:20 New Values [New Values, 1979]

Happy B-day, Iggy!

Stay Safe!🏡

Lately I have been rebloging music videos from Oannes new blog. For my friends who didn’t know, or wonder why…. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and mine] musical selections. Although here I reblog mainly his musical selections, he writes exceptional articles on various topics [some may need translation], so do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!
