Kοινό στοιχείο ανάμεσα στους καλλιτέχνες του podcast, η ημερομηνία γέννησής τους: 13 Μαΐου. Δύο από αυτούς, ο φοβερός πιανίστας [και …μποξέρ] Red Garlandκαι ο ενορχηστρωτής – διευθυντής ορχήστρας Gil Evans, έχουν συνδέσει το όνομά τους με εκείνο του Miles Davis. Προτίμησα στιγμιότυπα από την σόλο καριέρα τους.

Πέρα από το “Living For the City” του Stevie Wonder ακούμε το “Too High”, διασκευασμένο από τον κιθαρίστα Pat Martino. Από το άλμπουμ The Blue Note Plays Stevie Wonder – φόρος τιμής του jazz label στον καλλιτέχνη.

What these artists have in common is their birth date: 13th of May. Two of them, the awesome pianist [and… boxer] Red Garland and the great arranger – conductor Gil Evans, have linked their name to that of Miles Davis. I preferred snapshots of their solo careers.

In addition to Stevie Wonder‘s “Living For the City,” we hear “Too High,” covered by guitarist Pat Martino, from the album Blue Note Plays Stevie Wonder – the iconic jazz label’s tribute to the artist.
