Σαν σήμερα, 26 Μαΐου 1946, στο Hull του Yorkshire γεννήθηκε ένας από τους εμβληματικούς κιθαρίστες των ’70s, ο άνθρωπος που καθόρισε τον ήχο “θεμελιωδών” άλμπουμ του David Bowie [Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold The World, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane]. Τον ακούμε σε κομμάτια του Bowie και επίσης των Elton John, Lou Reed, Mott The Hoople. Επίσης σε δυο από σόλο δίσκους του, το Slaughter On The 10th Avenue και το μεταθανάτιο Heaven and Hull.
