Τα κομμάτια του podcast, προερχόμενα από διαφορετικούς καλλιτέχνες, έχουν ένα κοινό: την κιθάρα του Mick Ronson. Σαν σήμερα, 26 Μαΐου 1946, στο Hull του Yorkshire γεννήθηκε ένας από τους εμβληματικούς κιθαρίστες των ’70s, ο άνθρωπος που καθόρισε τον ήχο “θεμελιωδών” άλμπουμ του David Bowie [Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold The World, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane]. Τον ακούμε σε κομμάτια του Bowie και επίσης των Elton John, Lou Reed, Mott The Hoople. Επίσης σε δυο από σόλο δίσκους του, το Slaughter On The 10th Avenue και το μεταθανάτιο Heaven and Hull. Ο Mick Ronson πέθανε από καρκίνο μόλις 47 χρόνων, λίγο μετά την ηχογράφηση αυτού του άλμπουμ.

The songs of this podcast have one thing in common: Mick Ronson‘s guitar. On this date, May 26, 1946, in Hull, Yorkshire, one of the iconic guitar players of the ’70s was born. The man who defined the sound of David Bowie‘s “fundamental” albums [Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold The World, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane].
