[mom promises lots of those and a special cake]

I asked mom to donate any money she’d spend for a gift to me, to other not so fortunate pitties, Jacomo in particular who needs an urgent surgery.

The fairy godmother who brought Hera to our home was Giota Brakoumatsou [Γιώτα Μπρακουκάτσου photo] from Pitbull Rescue.gr. Goes without saying, we are forever grateful to her and she has our undivided love! ❤️
To anyone who’s thinking of bringing a dog into their family, please adopt! Shelters all over the world are full of beautiful doggies [or cats] who need a forever home and wait for the right family to give them their FULL and UNCONDITIONAL love*! In other words:

PS. to anyone out there who feels differently about pitbulls, who is still not convinced that the problem is not the breed but the owner, please respect Hera’s day and don’t leave us comments about ‘pitbull attacks’ etc…

Hera sends Zeke a kiss snd a piece of fish cake (she says it’s delicious and I’m taking her word for it cause the smell is yuck!)
Horrible indeed… I gradually realized that the main reason why this breed is used for dogfighting (other than strength) is their extreme loyalty to people, and for ‘people’ to abuse that loyalty and love in that way makes it even more disgusting!

There are no words to describe the deep love that a dog offers you without demanding anything (but it can be any animal since I have seen pigs, chickens, skunks considered to be domestic).
Hera is beautiful … and also very photogenic!
I still have to wait 4 years, then when I retire, I will pay a visit to the abandoned animal shelter and I already know that I will arrive home with a couple of dogs.

🙂 … Sorry to say no walking beaches … even worse, no travel. Although we are not restricted, we remain COVID cautious. I haven’t been around WP much the past few weeks because my energy has been focused elsewhere. Hopefully that will change soon – but I had to stop by for Hera on her day.

You are right… to us it is a birthday, if nothing else, it’s a day of celebration!
We’re so happy she came to our home and so fortunate… She just makes our days sooooooo much better and happier!
On the party gear… she might have a different opinion but somehow she knows it’s for a pose [you wouldn’t believe what a patient and obedient model she is!] so she’s okay with it… well, she wouldn’t mind tearing that hat to pieces either! 😉
