Από τα αγαπημένα μου metal συγκροτήματα είναι οι Καναδοί progressive-thrashers Voïvod, που ακούμε σε ένα συγκλονιστικό κομμάτι από το άλμπουμ τους Negatron.
Συνδημιουργός του, ως έκτακτη συμμετοχή, ο Ivan Doroschuk, γνωστός από τους Men Without Hats [!], Καναδός επίσης.
Ρίξτε μια ματιά στους στίχους…

Voïvod [Canada] are one of my all time favorite metal bands. We hear a spellbinding song from their Negatron album.
Co-writer of the song, as a special guest, is Ivan Doroschuk, singer-songwriter-leader of Men Without Hats [!] also a Canadian.
Take a look at the lyrics…

◼︎

❝ Side effects of tunnel vision
Technofix of silicone
Noise that wanders like a liquid
Cyber shaman anarchy
Useless memory transistor
Pressure in my surgery
Nanoman they let you wander
Like a child and then they fill you
Full of things, then you’ll turn to
Nanoman
Atomic levels of vibration
Plastic backwards ego freak
Question thinking focus unit
Replicator fog unreal
Nanoman they let you wonder
Like a child and then they fill you
Full of things, then you’ll turn to
Nanoman
In the age of erosion
The end is signalled by machine
Will can orchestrate the atoms
High pitched metal centuries
Satellites destroy an eye blink
A million atoms dance alone
Nanoman they let you wonder
Like a child and then they fill you
Full of things, then you’ll turn to
Nanoman…❞

Enjoy!

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the song ! 😉

* For my friends who didn’t know, or first timers here, Oannes [aka Socratis Papahatzis] is my husband, partner in life and music and the one with my undying admiration. Together we have a band MK-O [the music of Marina Kanavaki & Oannes]. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and sometimes mine] musical selections. Do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!
