I have never seen this type of bird before. What is it’s name? A beautiful capture, Marina. I love how you caught the different positioning of his head. And the sunrise added a dramatic flare.
It’s a magpie. In Greece we call them ‘carakaxa’ which means a crone… I suppose from their racketing ‘song’! I love them! During sunrise all the birds pose to capture the first rays. Beautiful time! Thank you, my dear Rebecca. 🤗😘🤗
You photo reminded my of my dear friends, the Crows, who gather at sunset to make their way home to their roost in Burnaby. They have a loud chatter that I find quite smoothly.
so that is where the magpies have gone. They are smart. The breeze here is not that gentle (we currently have -11°C, and tomorrow expect -20°C) 🙂, with lots of snow. Well, I like it, normal winter weather, like I remember it from my childhood.
Brrr, that sounds cold! We’re expecting our winter within the day… at last! After 24C we’re up for 0s!!! We get lots of magpies over here. Happy Friday, my friend.
Oh, me too and these beauties are hard to capture! I’ve tried capturing them up close but at the slightest move they’ll fly off. This guy was at a safe (to him) distance and on the perfect spot (for me!). Thank you, my friend!
Well now…as I went through my endless emails, I found this! Lovely!
And I bet they are endless!!!! I’m so happy my little feathered friend popped up! 😉😘😘😘😘
Thank you ma chérie!!!!
Oh, there are some I just flush… others, I need to go see 😉 xoxoxo
Hard to survive without flushing! 😉

Honestly. I get it under control and then pouf! outta control completely. xoxoxoxo
Oh, don’t I know!!!!!! 🙄😘😘😘😘
This is probably last week’s post. I’m way behind…OR I am ahead! Tomorrow is Thursday!
Love the birdie!!!
Love you!

I never saw such a beautiful magpie, Marina. The sunrise imbued his feathers with such golden light. 😍
He’s a frequent visitor of that antenna, especially at dawn! Wise beings! I love magpies. Happy weekend, my friend! ❤🤗
So, so beautiful Marina! Thank you for sharing❤️
I was fortunate to have him pose for me! 😉 Thank you, my dear Madhu! ❤😘🤗

Just love that wonderful warm glow! Looks as if it is basking in the bit of warmth 🙂
I think he has that spot reserved for sunrise, as I see him often sitting there. Thank you, my dear friend.

They do have have a similar chatter and I love crows gathering at sunset. I used to watch them at our house by the sea. Smoothly is the perfect word!
Happy Friday and a good weekend ahead.
Great shot, that picture.
Thank you, my friend. A great weekend to you too! 🙏🙂
…and Friday!
The birdie seemed very content to let you snap away. Nice catch of the sunrise glow. Yanas!
Well, he had me at a safe distance! 😉 Thank you, my friend. Very happy you enjoyed! Yamas!

Love this💜
Thank you very much! 🙏🙂
Great composition! That sunrise colors throughout touching an already magnificent subject. 🙂
Ah, thank you, Mary Jo. During this time (first rays of the sun), many feathered beings stop to catch the colors! 😘🤗
What a beauty that graced you with his appearance. I lover those long tail feathers.

You did a great job capturing that beauty.
