from Oannes * tribute to «cosmic» songs

Για το τελευταίο της αυτό άλμπουμ, το διπλό Data Lords η συνθέτις / bandleader Maria Schneider κέρδισε το Grammy “καλύτερης οργανικής σύνθεσης”. Όχι ότι έχει ιδιαίτερη σημασία, ούτε ότι προβλέπεται να αρχίσουν να ασχολούνται μαζί της [“εν μέσω πανδημίας”!] όσοι δεν το έκαναν μέχρι τώρα.
Το άλμπουμ διακρίνεται σε δυο μέρη, όσα και τα cd, τιτλοφορημένα “The Digital World” και “The Natural World”
Από το πρώτο μέρος ακούμε, στο πλαίσιο πάντα των Space Hymns το “Sputnik” και το ομώνυμο κομμάτι.

For her latest album, the double Data Lords, composer / bandleader Maria Schneider won the Grammy for “best instrumental composition”. Not that it matters much, nor that those who didn’t pay attention so far will start doing it now [“in the midst of a pandemic”!].
The album is divided into two parts, as are the CDs, titled “The Digital World” and “The Natural World”.
From the first one we hear, always in the context of Space Hymns a track called “Sputnik”, and the eponymous one.
