Ο πιανίστας Red Garland είναι περισσότερο γνωστός για τη συμμετοχή του στο πρώτο μεγάλο κουιντέτο του Miles Davis στα middle ‘50s. Η σόλο καριέρα του υπήρξε επίσης σημαντική, αλλά και οι συνεργασίες του με μουσικούς όπως οι Pepper Adams, Nat Adderley, Blue Mitchell, Phily Joe Jones κ.ά.

The pianist Red Garland is best known for his participation in Miles Davis’s first big quintet in the mid-50s. His solo career has also been important, as well as his collaborations with musicians such as Pepper Adams, Nat Adderley, Blue Mitchell, Philly Joe Jones etc.
We hear the Red Garland Trio [Paul Chambers – bass, Art Taylor – drums] in two tracks from the album All Kinds Of Weather of ’58 .
