Greetings Marina, wonderful images. I am a fan of these over exposed pictures and in the Star Wars and Lightsaber collector’s community this technique is growing in popularity. A lot of members use their “laser swords” and take photos whilst doing choreographed sword spinning with some spectacular results! They have also started doing similar imagery with video footage too (now that TikTok has become popular).
But I really love the first image you posted as it actually looks like a lightsaber with the moon being a beam of light rather than a globe. Thanks for the share again,

Hi there, I might have been tempted to try Light Painting myself but I only have an old Fujifilm digital camera with basic functions and my smartphone has a lens that I think is misaligned because all the pictures are blurry! I’ll just enjoy everyone else’s artworks.
Oh…. still, I think you can try it with your Fujifilm. 😉
Very nicely done. I have had similar outcomes but the movement was by mistake. That is, the camera went off by mistake. Sometimes some interesting outcomes came from that!
Oh, yes they do! Especially with film cameras. I’ve had some brilliant accidental overexposures!

Right… and with film you could get fascinating double exposures if it wasn’t wound properly. Not many youngun’s in the digital age would understand that!

Rats…no clear skies! Just fantastic sauna-like heat. 40C today and all week. Heat warnings in effect all last week and next week. I plan to use my air conditioned indoor time to work on my new Art Gown (about 55% done)and finish the drawings for the first installment of the next AGM, PBH, RR adventure! Sometimes refusing to take pictures as one should [with a tripod!], creativity kicks in and fills in the gaps! Hence, an unrecognizable moon! 😉
