Description:
Inspired by the Oneness of “As Above So Below”,
A barren tree, Above
and golden and green roots blooming, Below.
Could this forest be floating?
However seen, it is my imaginary little tree
in search of its fulfillment.

I love it.
Thank you, Tim. Means a lot… but you know that! 🙏
WOW …. so long ago – but my appreciate for your work stands tall.
Yes, my dear friend and though it feels like yesterday our friendship goes way back… standing tall! 😉 Yamas, my friend.
…as i have said before, marina….this is yet again an example of your profuse talent….what to some people would just appear to be drops of watercolours on wet paper are an expression of what the human eye can interpret from them! absolutely beautifully done!
I am very very flattered!!! 🙂
Thank you for your kind compliment!!
🙂
i have emailed you also…
stunning….
Thank you, Sriram!
Vancouver is a young city and our heritage is our trees – our streets, gardens and parks are full of trees, ancient and new. Each day I walk out and spend some time with a different tree, most, except for the evergreens, are recently bared of leaves, like yours – but, like yours, life continues below preparing for renewed beauty come spring…
…wonderful thing huh?!
🙂
Absolutely…
Beautiful, Marina! I get the feeling of a tree hibernating through the winter, dreaming of springtime!
Beautiful image…
Yes, “dreaming of springtime”!
Thank you FM!
🙂
This is so thoughtful. Loved it, Marina. 🙂
Thank you, Nandini!
🙂
I hope you still find peace enough to paint inmidst all those anti-austerity protests!

One answer could be that an artist feeds from chaos and another is that in rough times an artist tries to find comfort in creating beauty. If that sounds theoretical, there’s a much simpler answer: I can’t do otherwise!
🙂
A soft, yet surreal scene of the season.
…living in a surreal world!!! 🙂
Thank you Frank!
🙂
Ah! Such poetic – better than Dante! Am so relishing this post. Thank you dearest Marina. xxxxx
Mashaal dear, you are the poet!
Thank you so much! 🙂
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Looks like things are going better below for this tree than above. 🙂
That’s a good thing btw! Internal, personal stability, joy, happiness… that sort of thing.
Exactly! After all, if the roots are happy, so will the tree …sooner or later!
🙂
Thank you Charlie!
🙂
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are in the midst of a great Thanksgiving weekend!
Thank you Russel! Thanksgiving is a beautiful celebration and even though we don’t have it here in Greece, I do believe in gratitude and giving thanks everyday, so I will, thank you! I hope the same for you too!

lovely and awesome drawings Marina
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Tanveer!
🙂
Marina, it’s a sad picture … sad and powerful, because the tree is alone and it’s a strong tree. with very strong roots – but the shades of the colors are making it comforting – would love to sit under that tree when all it’s leafs are on.
Oh, but it’s blooming underneath and soon all of it will shine! As you say: strong roots!
Thank you dear and you are certainly very welcome under that tree anytime!
🙂
