This is the second of a series of posts with my view of time featuring timepieces with my watercolors.
Time!
Divided in hours, minutes, seconds, milliseconds… yet counts differently to each one of us.
It seems that the most accurate timekeeping devices are atomic clocks.
Though these are not actually atomic[!], they do however have my atom flowers watercolors on them!
Atom Flowers TIME:
ATOM FLOWERS #31
ATOM FLOWERS #28
ATOM FLOWERS #7
ATOM FLOWERS #19
ATOM FLOWERS #24
ATOM FLOWERS #2

Finally got around to visiting your site again. I really like these atom time pieces. Great stuff!
I’m so happy to hear that! Thank you so much!!! 🙂
Reblogged this on lost creek publishing.
Beautiful – all of them. You’re just too amazing!! 🙂
Ah, that was my attempt to make time a little bit friendlier!!
So glad you like them, Noeleen!
Have a beautiful Sunday!!
🙂
Muchos quisieramos detener el tiempo. Una bella forma de hacerlo es la forma en que lo haces. Hermosas pinturas que espero trasciendan su propio tiempo, Poesía plasmada en pintura. Un abrazo
Too kind, dear Arpon Files!!!! I am very flattered!
Have a beautiful Monday and new week!
🙂
thanks for dropping in again, marina!
whats happening in greece these days? more economic woes i suppose….
ah, don’t ask!
We simply stay clear of tv, news, newspapers etc and be happy and grateful we can still do things we love [it is fortunate that those things don’t cost much!]
🙂
very true!
i stay away from news as much as possible too….the more you see it, the more depressing it gets!
hmm…time…can be the invincible enemy, or the most useful ally, depending on your own viewpoint in life…..life is too short when we are enjoying it…too long when we are down….great watercolours anyways, marina, as always!
exactly: depending on your own viewpoint!!!
Thank you very much! Have a nice Wednesday!
🙂
😉
Hi Marina,
Time and Art have become irrevocably entwined in your clocks!
It’s at once the time of art and the art of time . . . . . 🙂
…and time for art!! [and you know better, huh?!
Thank you very much, Sound Eagle!
🙂
Very nice and awesome!!! 🙂
Thank you very much!
🙂
You really have an extraordinary gift….thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank YOU for your kind remark, Clanmother!
🙂
These remind me of this quote:
“Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time, who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done, if we are always doing.”
― Thomas Jefferson
they are exquisite.
David.
very cool!
Thank you Keith!
🙂
I love the third set, that yellow/green with the purples is just lovely 🙂
Ah, thank you, Madhu!
🙂 🙂
Such clever refreshing design and renderings.
I’m so glad you like them Reno! Thank you!
🙂
Time is an illusion but your art is beautifully real…
Now, that’s a lovely thing to say! Thank you, John!
PS It is an illusion, isn’t it?! 🙂
You are completely welcome – I speak as I see, and Yes – we conjured up the concept of time for our convenience – chopping up day and night into manageable sections. Now we are slaves to our own imagination – oh, we are such paradoxical yet such endearing beings…
PARADOXICAL indeed!
🙂
🙂
Those are just beautiful! The first one is my favorite. I love the pastels and color combination (and purple is one of my fave colors)!
[…makes two of us, on purple!]
Thank you my friend!
🙂
Lovey designs for the clocks, Marina!
BTW: thank you for all your prayers. 🙂
Thank you Deb! I’m glad YOU like them!
🙂
Sandy’s gone now huh?
These are so beautiful, Marina. It’s hard to pick a favourite but I really like the flowers with the candy stripes! It would make an excellent pattern on a bedding set with clock faces on the pillow cases 🙂
“candy stripes”, funny …I was thinking of candy when I did that!
Thank you Meanderer!!!
🙂
Stunning work … would love a wall clock like that … but I have 4 all ready, love the striped on. Have to rethink here .. really love your work.
4?!!!! I hope they’re not all showing same time [for variation sake!] 😆
Thank you, Viveka for your kindness!
🙂
Have one more a less in each room .. and they all show the same time – and they don’t slow down the time neither – could you fix a watch that slows down time – I will buy on straight away. *smile
See?! If you’d have them showing different times you wouldn’t worry about it at all! Too bad I’m not a mechanic. I’d love to make the backward clock!
😆
Great idea with a backward clock – you would get the Nobel prize for that and over a million dollars in prize money – plus a free trip to Sweden for your whole family and you.
Your compliments are enough for me!!!!
Besides, a smile is worth soooooo much more!
🙂
Totally agree … Marina.
Are these your designs? Incredible work. I love your artistic thrive. 🙂
They are. Thank you very much Charlie.
🙂
You’re so very welcome. 🙂
I love the colours. A beautiful circle that is
Thank you Dominique!
🙂
Each one is so delicate and pretty to look at. They would make any wall happy.
…and not just the walls!!! 😆
Seriously, thank you, Isadora for your kind thoughts!
🙂
I love your mastery of watercolor, and sheer love of the flowers with such delicate yet bold design…all strong enough to both compliment and enhance the look of the clocks giving them a “timeless appeal”….just gorgeous, Marina!
Oh, Linda, even though I do not consider myself a master of watercolor [far from it!] I can’t help feeling very flattered by your comment.
Thank you!
🙂
I did study art to a very small extent, enough to know how difficult watercolors are and especially appreciative at the ‘random” design of your flowers which is something difficult to do….!
…even bigger “thank you”!
It’s just that each time a place a paper in front of me to paint, I feel like it’s the first time, as if my brain has erased all previous memories / techniques etc!
the creative process, it is beautiful…must start from the “unknown”…that is a true artist
🙂
and blushing!
Another amazing artwork, Marina! Cannot decide which one ! Love all!
How lovely to have such a beautiful art on the wall❤❤❤
Aw, thank you dear Violet!!!
…like your art is too!
🙂
These timepieces will remind anyone that times are good and will only get better 🙂
Great blend of clockwork and aesthetics to give the user a moment to pause and appreciate art.
Thank you so much for this optimistic view of my clocks! It is greatly appreciated!!!
🙂
Just gorgeous, Marina, all of them! Your words about time ring true. I often have your comment in my head about a “natural rhythm” and I thank you for that! Have a great day! ~xoxo!
Thank you dear!!!! So, I’m assuming that you are faithful to YOUR natural rhythm!
You too have a beautiful day, Patricia!
xxxxx
🙂
Much more so than I used to be! 🙂
🙂
!!!
Wonderful!!!
Thanks, Cha!
🙂
Your clock work is a winning idea!
You think?! I’m glad you think so, Frank!
Thank you!

Your artwork makes the ordinary extraordinary. Functional art.
Great compliment! Thanks Terry!
🙂
The time pieces are all so beautiful, I can’t decide which I like best.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Ah, thank you Francine!!!
🙂
If ‘Timepiece’ is so beautiful – it will surely count beautifully for all of us too 🙂
Thanks Marina 🙂
That is a wonderful thing to say, Dilip!
Thank you so much.
Indeed, I hope it does!
