Η επιλογή του να μην ευθυγραμμιστεί με τις νεωτερικές κατευθύνσεις της εποχής του, απέφερε τη στάμπα του “αναχρονιστή” από μια ελίτ “ειδημόνων” …και την αγάπη του κόσμου. Η μουσική του Rachmaninoff οφείλει σε προγενεστερούς του Ρώσους [Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov] αλλά και στον εκστατικό ρομαντισμό ενός Chopin, ιδίως στα πιανιστικά του έργα. Είναι ένας από τους δημοφιλέστερους συνθέτες του 20ου αι., ενώ τα έργα των περισσότερων από τους “επικριτές του”, απλώς δεν εκτελούνται…
Ακούμε τον Andrei Gavrilov και την Philadelphia Orchestra υπό τη διεύθυνση του Riccardo Mutti] στο πρώτο μέρος, Moderato, από το Κονσέρτο για Πιάνο Νο 2.

His choice not to align himself with the modernist directions of his time, brought him the stamp of the “anachronist” from an elite of “experts”… and the love of the public. Rachmaninoff’s music owes to Russian composers [Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov] and to the ecstatic romanticism of Chopin, especially in his works for piano. He was one of the most popular composers of the 20th c., while the works of most of his “haters” are just not being performed…
We hear Andrei Gavrilov and the Philadelphia Orchestra directed by Riccardo Mutti on the first part, Moderato, from the Piano Concerto No 2.

  1. 👌👌👌I fell in love with Piano Concerto 3. Of course, I’m also influenced by the film Shine🌹
