Σκοπός των εμβόλιμων, μικρής διάρκειας έργων, είναι με τα λόγια του συνθέτη, ”taking us to Christ’s time”.

The Three Latin Motets from The Last Supper, an opera by contemporary composer Harrison Birtwistle, are written to be heard from a recording, at specific points during the work : betrayal, crucifixion, stations on the way to Golgotha.
The purpose of the short intercalary works is, in the words of the composer, “taking us to Christ’s time”.
