Σκοπός των εμβόλιμων, μικρής διάρκειας έργων, είναι με τα λόγια του συνθέτη, ”taking us to Christ’s time”.
✻The Three Latin Motets from The Last Supper, an opera by contemporary composer Harrison Birtwistle, are written to be heard from a recording, at specific points during the work : betrayal, crucifixion, stations on the way to Golgotha.
The purpose of the short intercalary works is, in the words of the composer, “taking us to Christ’s time”.◼︎
