Το στίγμα βρίσκεται στις παρυφές του easy listening, αλλά το άκουσμα κατά την άποψη μου είναι ταυτόχρονα ευχάριστο και ενδιαφέρον. Βοηθάει το ότι τα δυο κομμάτια ανήκουν στα αριστουργήματα του είδους. Από το First Course, άλμπουμ – ντεμπούτο του Lee Ritenour, εμβληματικής φιγούρας της smooth jazz και ενός από τους σημαντικότερους session κιθαρίστες όλων των εποχών. Οι τίτλοι : ‘Canticle Of The Universe’ και ‘Wild Rice’. Το πρώτο είναι σύνθεση του κιμπορντίστα-συνθέτη-παραγωγού Jerry Peters, το δεύτερο του Ritenour.

The vibe sits on the edges of easy listening, but in my view, the sound is both pleasant and engaging. It helps that both tracks are masterpieces of the genre. From First Course, the debut album by Lee Ritenour, an iconic figure in smooth jazz and one of the most significant session guitarists of all time. The titles : ‘Canticle Of The Universe’ and ‘Wild Rice’. The first one is written by keyboardist-composer-producer Jerry Peters, the second is one of Ritenour’s own.
