Still January so, my dear friends, here are my belated wishes for a beautiful 2017, to everyone.
May it be a kind and peaceful one.
My sincere apologies for my long absence.
I’ve missed you all but life has thrown various challenges and I wouldn’t be true to my motto: “Art Towards a Happy Day”…
I am gradually returning
with new ideas,
and more…
Art Towards A Happy Day.
Here’s my Golden Happiness Tree,
carrying out my best wishes to all my friends!

Happy 2017!

ps: just realized that this is posted on a 1 day too! [1+7+1+2+0+1+7=1+9=1+0=1!] 😉

ps2: please be VERY patient with me and my responses! If it’s any consolation, I already feel bad as it is for not having replied to so many of your kind comments. I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for them, so thank you, my dear friends, in advance!

  1. Do not, repeat not, reply to this comment. It is too woefully late to be acknowledged. The mortal leaving it is inconsolable, for he has been lax in leaving flowers at the base of Mt. Olympus… 🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼🍨… 😭 <= inconsolable

I'm sorry for your loss, dear Marina. May your lovely Golden Happiness Tree serve to remind us that love is stronger than death, and that we must always rejoice in the lives and loves we have been privileged to share. May the Happiness Tree cover you with golden blossoms!!– you'll have to send your toga to the cleaners, of course, but hopefully the Happiness Tree will also rain down a few discount dry cleaning coupons!! 🌴🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼👸🏻👗🌴💰💰💰😊

  2. Checking through posts I have missed over the last couple of months & now I feel very guilty because I did not send you condolences for your loss.
Let us hope the rest of 2017 is good.

    • Ah, David… I’m well aware of how difficult it is following everyone’s news/posts. I know I’ve missed many events of friends, but time is always short, so please don’t feel guilty. I hadn’t even posted about it. Thank you for your thoughts, my friend. They mean a lot and time is irrelevant. Indeed, lets hope 2017 will gradually take a better turn.

  3. It’s February and I’m just now getting around to wishing you a Happy New Year! I love the way you have honored the new with this vital growing tree. Hope it’s a great 2017 for you!

  4. Like that tree trunk. No need to apologize for anything. Thank you for being there for us. That being said, you better keep blogging!

    • 🙂 🙂 Thank YOU, my dear friend, for being there for me. You’ll be happy to know that one more advice of yours has been taken into account… [check Shostakovich – next post] 😉

  5. Marina you have been missed.. And I love your happiness Tree.. I am smiling hugely to see you back and painting as brilliant as ever..
I am smiling even wider as I too have spent the best part of January painting and creating.. and guess what? yes Trees are my theme.. 🙂

Sending Huge hugs your way my special friend.. I am delighted to see you back.. Love and Blessings to you Marina..
    Hugs Sue ❤ ❤ xxx

    • Oh, and I missed you, my dearest Sue and I missed your virtual yet very real and warm company. As I just saw, you too suffered the loss of someone dear. My sincere condolences, my sweet friend. This past month has been grave to so many friends… Our family has also been deprived of a very dear member [on new year’s day]. It was the reason for my long absence. I’m sending you my thoughts and a big hug. I look forward to see your new creations. Blessings and love to you, my dearest friend! 🙂 xxxxxxx

      • Aww I am so sorry to hear that dear Marina.. It has been a year of mourning in one form or another.. My sincere condolences for your own sad family loss my friend..
Yes it sorts of puts life back into perspective in many ways, as Time Ticks on and so many taken suddenly with no rhyme or reason to it.
We do well to go within for a time to gather together our energies and centre our cores back to the creative side of life..
Embracing once again that love of creation.. From which we were all molded..
Sending much love as you find yourself again and may 2017 herald in many bright new blessings in our creative worlds.. ..
Love and Hugs my friend.. Sue xx

  6. Happy New Year, Marina, and your Golden Happiness Tree is gorgeous. I hope you’re doing okay in whatever challenges have come your way. December was rough for us when I became really sick with pancreatitis, but all is good now and I wish you the same. Sending big hugs your way. ♥

    • Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that, my dear Lauren and really glad this is in the past now! May 2017 be kinder and …healthier! This has been a very tough December for so many friends. Our family has become smaller as of new year’s day. Hence my complete absence from any social events. Hugs received and sent back tenfold! 🙂 xx

      • I’m sorry for your loss, too, Marina. We had a family member pass on Dec. 30th as well. So as you said, let’s hope this new year is much better than the end of last. 🙂 More hugs; we can’t have too many. xoxo

        • Oh, no…I’m so sorry for your loss, Lauren. We have an uncanny synchronization of events in our lives. Thankfully the happy events exceed. Yes, we can’t have too many so: 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

  7. So nice to see you, Marina, with your golden happiness tree. Indeed, water colours appear to have found its way through your creative hands to spread out in such a beautiful form. May the colours continue to emerge through you in newer patterns. Cheers…

  8. Mercury was retrograde until ten or so days ago, so now that the planets are moving forward, I hope that your days will have more golden sunshine. There’s never a need to apologize or acknowledge a comment – just know that you have a large extended family here…

    Sending strong energy your way,
    Lisa

    • Your sweet words mean so much, amiga! Indeed, Mercury and all sorts of ‘elements’ and planets have been acting weird passed year +. Hopefully 2017 will treat all of us with more kindness! For that large extended family, I am ever grateful! 🙂 love and hugs to you, my dear Lisa! 🙂 xx

  9. Welcome back. Was surprised to see this – considering….. But what a joy to see you inching your way back into the blogosphere. 😉

    • I actually surprised myself too. I was expecting to extend my hiatus but watching some golden leaves glow under the winter sun changed my mind. Still a lot to do… Thank you for the warm welcome, my friend. 🙂

  10. Sure we have missed you … so I’m happy to see your return – no matter how long it may be. 🙂 Happy 2017 to you! … Love the painting. For me, the gray delivers the contrast that makes it pop! 🙂 .. Yamas!

    • Yamas, my dear Frank! Missed you too and it’s been very long, but there are times we need to withdraw… So glad you liked the painting! A joyful and healthy 2017 to you, my friend. 🙂

  11. Beautiful painting! Waiting can make the heart grow fonder and it was definitely worth the wait! Thanks for sharing and know as long as you reconnect with people we will know you are just like the rest of us, consumed by a myriad of life’s demands. Thanks for reassuring me, I’m not the only one!❤

    • You most definitely are not the only one! Thank you, my dear Anne for your lovely words. Life does present us with challenges, but as long as we’re there when they happen, we’re okay [especially the sadder ones]. All the best for 2017, with happiness! 🙂

    • Missed you too, Pam! So happy to see you here. I look forward to visiting your lovely corner too. Best wishes to you , my friend for a beautiful, creative, happy and peaceful 2017, in good health! 🙂 xxxx
